Date Night at 4th & Swift in Atlanta!
As self proclaimed foodies, my hubby and I love to check out different restaurants! We’re pretty adventurous when it comes to trying new dishes and you can count on us to throw in our 2 cents worth when it comes to reviewing a new spot. Although we don’t live directly in the city of Atlanta, (we’re about 30 miles north, to be exact) we’re close enough to take advantage of ATL’s restaurant scene, whenever we’re in the mood for a little atmosphere and something different. Our latest restaurant adventure landed us at 4th & Swift Restaurant and Bar, which did not disappoint! Located in the historic Old Fourth Ward, (the birthplace of Martin Luther King, Jr. and the location of Ebeneezer Baptist Church), 4th & Swift serves up delicious American comfort food with a contemporary twist!
Look of the Week!
How gorgeous was Nia Long at the 2011 BET Awards?! While introducing Trey Songz, she showed off her baby bump by rubbing her tummy and saying “he makes great baby making music.” I hear ya, girl! The successful actress recently confirmed that she and former San Antonio Spurs forward, Ime Udoka were expecting a baby together this fall. Congrats to the happy couple!
Baby bump aside, Nia looked flawless in her white, silk BCBG dress, which looked amazing against her perfectly bronzed skin tone. She’s definitely working that pregnancy “glow.” I love how she paired the silvery metallic strappy sandals with the angel-like mini gown, proving that pregnancy can be sexy! Keeping the accessories simple, Nia rocked a cuff bangle and diamond dangle earrings. Wait a minute… is that a ring I see on your finger, Nia?
The sleek up-do and soft makeup were the perfect compliments to this simple but stunning look. Expectant moms everywhere can learn a little something from Nia’s ensemble, and that’s why she’s our Look of the Week!
Ab Workout!
Alright ladies…you asked for proof that these ab workouts really work…well here it is!

The S.J.G. Greater NC Pro-Am Summer League, known as “The Rucker of the South,” is one of the hottest summer leagues in the country and the action gets started on June 30th. Started by my hubby and two of his childhood friends, Donyell Bryant and Chuck Jones, the NC Pro-Am’s mission is to “enrich and strengthen the community by creating an entertainment venue that fosters community mentoring, corporate/business participation and non-profit collaboration.”
