Kobe and Vanessa Bryant met with the press today at My Friend’s Place, a drop-in center for homeless youth based in Hollywood, to announce the forming of their new non-profit organization, The Kobe and Vanessa Bryant Family Foundation (KVBFF.) The foundation will focus on eradicating  youth homelessness in Los Angeles. “On my way to games, I noticed children and families living on the streets blocks away from where I play, and it didn’t sit well with me,” Bryant said.

The foundation will also support and partner with existing programs and organizations in order to raise funds, improve services, and increase awareness about the problem of homeless youth in Los Angeles.

Homelessness is such a major problem, not only in Los Angeles, but all over the United States, and it’s one that doesn’t sit well with me either. In fact, we all could be doing more when it comes to children living on the streets. Good for Kobe and Vanessa for actually stepping up to combat this issue!
