Pat Smith Wants to “Treasure You”
Pat Smith, wife of NFL great and Dancing with the Stars champ Emmitt Smith, is the founder of “Treasure You”, an organization dedicated to renewing the spirits of women by helping them to achieve their dreams and find their passion in life despite their set backs and circumstances. The first African-American woman to win the Miss Virginia USA title and first runner-up of the 1994 Miss USA Pageant, Pat (mother of 5) now hosts “Treasure You” segments on Good Morning Texas, is the President of Pat & Emmitt Smith Charities, and the founder of Page’s Angels. Busy woman!
Pat will be hosting her annual Treasure You Girlfriends’s Retreat September 16-17 at the Westin Stonebriar Resort in Frisco, TX! The retreat will include a Mexican fiesta dinner, pajama party, workshops, Burger’s ‘n Banana Splits Luncheon, a shopping experience featuring female owned businesses, plus a few other surprise guests and treats thrown in! Sounds like an amazing event and perfect girlfriend’s trip!
Congrats to Stephen Curry and Ayesha Alexander!
The summer of weddings continues with Golden State Warriors guard, Stephen Curry, marrying his college sweetheart, Ayesha Alexander! The wedding took place this past Saturday in their hometown of Charlotte, NC. The couple met in a church youth group when she was 14 and he was 15 and have dated since Stephen was a sophomore at Davidson College.

Plyo and Core Workout!
It’s always hard for me to maintain a consistent workout schedule during the summer months. I travel more, eat out more, and ultimately gain more weight! With the kids headed back to school next week, I’m really looking forward to getting back to my daily workout routine and usual eating habits. Summer was fun, but it’s back to reality and this latest workout definitely jumpstarted my mindset back into “let’s get it” mode!
