NYC!

Our family has been so blessed to see my husband have an 18 year NBA career. Out of all the teams he’s played for, he’s finally in New York…and not with the Knicks, I might add.  There’s a new team in town; the Brooklyn Nets! Its been an amazing experience to be part of all the excitement and hype surrounding this team. I can’t wait for the season opener on November 1st against that other New York team! ;)

My last trip there was pretty eventful. The kids were able to take a couple days off from school and come with me, which made our time there even more fun. We shopped a little, ate a lot, checked out Spiderman on Broadway, and went to two Nets games. I even had a mini photo shoot and interview with the New York Post! Fun times indeed!  (Pics courtesy of my daughter’s Instagram)

NBA Wives Take Over Atlanta!

“Behind The Bench” the National Basketball Wives Association recently held their annual conference in the city of Atlanta. Amazing can’t even begin to describe this event. Kristina Ratliff and Dee Dee Abdur-Rahim were co-chairs, along with our President Sandra Evans Short, in planning this awesome weekend filled with fun, love, and most of all sisterhood. After 18 years of my hubby playing in the league, this is surprisingly my first conference and first year as a member. So this experience was totally new for me. But I had the best time and bonded with some of the sweetest, most down-to-earth women you could ever meet. That’s me in the green. ;)

Tamia’s New Video: Beautiful Surprise

I know it’s been a while since my last post, but I’ve been extremely busy gearing up for the launch of my new Christian apparel line, 31:ten! So, I may have failed to report on the NBA playoffs, or even the Heat winning the Championship…we already knew the outcome of that anyway, right? (By the way, congrats to all the beautiful ladies of the Miami Heat, and the players too :) ) But,one thing that I could not ignore was the premiere of one of our favorite NBA wives, and my favorite R&B singer, Tamia’s new video, Beautiful Surprise! I’m already hooked on the song, which is classic Tamia –  soulful, sultry, with an infectious melody, and impeccable vocals. And the video does not disappoint and even features a cameo from her hubby, Grant Hill.
