Courageous – In theaters now!
I’m so excited to see the new movie Courageous! Courageous is the fourth film from Sherwood Pictures, the moviemaking ministry of Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, GA. These are the same people that made Flywheel and Fireproof…which are great movies, by the way. It’s rare that a Christian film ends up in major theaters, so please support this movie! This is definitely on our to-do list this weekend! In the meantime, check out the trailer…and the song Courageous from Casting Crowns (love them!) This is the first single from their new album, Come to the Well. The first time I heard this song, I sang it in my head all day…it has an infectious chorus! Enjoy!
Congrats to Golden State Warriors new head coach, Pastor Mark Jackson!
As some of you may already know, Mark Jackson was hired by the Golden State Warriors on Monday to replace Keith Smart. The 17- year NBA veteran, and current TV analyst for ESPN and ABC, who has never coached before, will be taking over a team that has made the playoffs just once since 1994.
Now, what you may not know, is that Mark Jackson is actually Pastor Mark Jackson. Together, Mark and his wife Desiree pastor their church,True Love Worship Center International!

Trin-i-Tee 5:7 New Album in Stores!
Where have these ladies been?? Well, it looks like they’ve been in the studio! Their new CD titled Angel and Chanelle was released yesterday on Mathew Knowles’ Music World Gospel. The one time trio, now duo, will release two versions of the CD – a 12 song standard version and a deluxe version with five additional tracks. The first single “Over and Over” produced by (and featuring) P.J. Morton is currently my new favorite song! The message is so simple and true; God blesses us over and over even when we don’t necessarily deserve it! If the first single in any indication of what we should expect from the rest of the CD, I’m super excited to pick up a copy!

I Smile!
One of my favorite Gospel artists of all time, Kirk Franklin, released his latest album, “Hello Fear” last month to rave reviews! The hit single, “I Smile”, will definitely be a Kirk Franklin classic. It is such a feel good song and a great way to start your day! With lyrics such as “I know God is working, so I smile!”, is enough to put an instant smile on your face, no matter what you’re going through!
This performance alone will make you smile, because Kirk is tripping!
“Others” by Israel Houghton
Israel Houghton’s latest CD is powerfully entitled “Love God. Love People.” Wow, what else is there?? Although this CD was released in August 2010, for some strange reason, I’m just getting around to buying it. I guess I was so stuck listening to his previous CD, “The Power of One.”
I love Israel Houghton’s eclectic mix of worship and praise, beautifully arranged tracks and instrumentation, and heart moving lyrics. When I first heard the song “Others”, I found myself literally tearing up as I drove. The message is so powerful, yet so simple. I had to truly ask myself, do I love others, the way God loves me? Am I doing all I can to help others around me and around the world? And the answer was a resounding NO! We all have the power and the ability to do more! Ultimately, as humans, we are incapable of loving others the way God loves us, because His love is perfect. But, we can try to live in a way that shows evidence of His love in our hearts. I thank God for His grace and mercy, because I don’t always succeed,but I do try…
So, in case you haven’t heard this song, please listen closely to the lyrics. And, I hope it touches and inspires you, the same way it did for me!
